Majority of the Facebook is made up of personal profile but if you are looking to establish the identity of your brand online on social networks than you have to create the facebook businesses page. It is like the business profile and look similar to personal profiles but shows specific information that is applicable to businesses.

In personal profiles, people connect with one another by sending a request and accepting it but in business page one used to connect by liking it, there is the option of like and when someone clicks on it, they become followers of that specific page.
 

Sign up:
 

The first thing you have to do is to sign into your personal account and you will be able to create your business page directly from your personal account only.

Create a Facebook page:

Now from your personal profile, start by clicking the drop-down arrow at the top right corner of your facebook page. From the drop-down, click on Create page option.

It will open a new window showing the following categories:

  • Business or Brand
  • Community or Public figure
  • Just choose the page type to get started.


Enter your business Information:

Now you have to provide the basic Information about your business which includes:

  • Page Name
  • Page category


Add a Profile picture:


Choose a profile picture to attract the people to your page. One idea is to use the logo of your brand so that the people will associate with your brand.

Add a cover photo:

The next step is to choose the cover photo which is appealing and represent your business. But make sure your cover photo should be 828 x 315 pixels and visually attractive to grab the attention of your users.
Once above steps are completed, the initial setup is done and you will be taken to your Facebook business page.

Edit page info:

Now go to About section and add a short description, phone number, email address, website and other basic details about your business so that the user will come to know about your business in order to associate with it.

Create a Username for your page:

Now create a username for your page. Pick the easy username to help people find your page easily.

 
Add a Button:

Now click on blue “Add a button” option on the upper right-hand corner of your page. This will let your customers perform the specific action quickly and directly from your page e.g.

  2. Get in Touch
  3. Learn More
  4. Make a purchase
  5. Download App


Set up Roles:

This is an important step which you have to complete before sending your page to outside the world. The Facebook page provides the benefit of multiple access so that people in the organization can manage and share the post without knowing the login credentials. You have to designate who has what level of editing access.

Go to settings and select the “Page Role” option in the left navigation bar. There will few options for the roles such as:

  • Admin
  • Editor
  • Moderator
  • Advertiser
  • Analyst
  • Live contributor


Customize your notifications:

While you’re in the settings menu, jump up to “Notifications.” This section allows you to customize how you receive alerts for activity on your Page. For example, you could choose to get a notification every time there is an activity or just get one notification every 12-24 hours.

For now, if you follow all the above steps than your business page on facebook would now be ready but you can easily customize your page whenever the need arises.
